Michigan Fosters

We are excited to have a partnership with Michigan Fosters who will be using our parsonage to support the foster care systems in a variety of ways.  This includes a home-like atmosphere for conducting family visits, a location for social workers to bring children while waiting for placement, a meeting place for family team meetings, and also for foster parent support groups.  The parsonage would help serve as a central location for foster resources such as “first night” bags and freezer meals for foster families.

Doors of Hope

Holland Heights Church has partnerships with Doors of Hope (formerly ATLAS Ministries)!

Doors of Hope is an organization that helps people through financial hurts, struggles, and crisis.

What does that mean for our church? For starters, if you are a member of our church, and are struggling with making and sticking to a budget, you are able to sit down with Life Skill coaches at Doors of Hope.  They will walk you through the process and give support where needed.  Also, if someone walks in to our church and needs financial help, gas cards, etc., we can refer them to Doors of Hope, who maintains a database of those who are seeking assistance, so we, as partners, can better serve their needs in a broader context.  In addition to that, Doors of Hope is able to connect with local resources, and by connecting with community partners, benevolence funds can be used more wisely.

Our hope is that this partnership will streamline how we as a church can more effectively help those in our community!
